The jaguarundi (Puma yagouaroundi syn. Herpailurus yagouaroundi) is a small-sized wild cat native to Central and South America. The jaguarundi diet consists mainly of small mammals, birds and reptiles. They have been observed to jump up to two metres off the ground to swat at birds in the air.
